Charity Fashion Auction - Sydney

The House of Harper has been called to help out with an exciting initiative called Can Too, which is a non-profit fitness training group that organises groups of participants to raise funds for Cure Cancer Australia.

To help raise much-needed funds to support cancer researchers in Australia, an Art and Fashion event will be used to showcase some of Australia’s leading fashion names with donated items to be auctioned. All funds raised from the event will go directly to aiding vital life saving research.

The Art and Fashion Fundraiser is a public event, being held THURSDAY 9 SEPTEMBER 2010 at Garvan Institute of Medical Research, 384 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst, with doors opening at 6pm.

Pham designs clothing for the modern woman that is soft, feminine and structured.

The use of soft fabrics and structured designs allows her to offer intricate detailing and texture manipulation to the garments.

Last night was the launch of The House of Harper's Fashion Xchange at The Chalk Hotel. It was great to see Brisbane's finest fashionistas and supporters of our local talent, make their way down to Woolloongabba despite the chilly winter weather. A big thank you to all the staff at The Chalk Hotel for their support and extensive help, The QR Reds, Qantas Wallabies, Gold Coast Titans and the Brisbane Broncos who came out and filled our VIP area, to our familes for their support and love, DJ Metal Jacket for the beats and to our #1 Director Zubie Tolentino who deserves nothing but praise and accollades for putting on such a successful and enjoyable night for all. We love you Miss Tolentino, Love your Harper Angels :)

Don't be afraid to mix a printed pant with bold colours. Be inspired by the blooms of Spring and the colour pallette of your next door neighbours rose garden. Scott Schuman from The Sartorialist snapped this lovely young lady in Milan wearing this trend. The HOH also love how she has teamed her outfit with leopard print flats to add a bit more of a quirky flair.

VALENTINO GoMA EXHIBITION

The classic designs of renowned fashion icon, Valentino, will be heading to Brisbane for an exclusive exhibition that will be housed at our very own Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA). The ‘Valentino, Retrospective: Past/Present/Future’, will showcase many pieces from the designers long career, including those worn by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor and Cate Blanchett.
